Michael Jordan just offered fans the clearest glimpse yet of Nigel Sylvester’s next Air Jordan collaboration, and the timing couldn’t be more dramatic. The weekend was buzzing for Jordan, who celebrates his birthday on Tuesday, as Jordan Brand dominated NBA All-Star Weekend with a lineup of highly anticipated reissues, fresh regional drops, and big-name partnerships. But the standout moment happened Sunday when Jordan’s 23XI Racing team clinched the Daytona 500 victory with Tyler Reddick behind the wheel.
Shortly after, Jordan was seen at Disney World wearing an unreleased Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 4 in white, giving fans their first full look at the forthcoming sneaker. A teaser of this white pair had circulated in January 2025 from Sylvester’s Brick by Brick dinner, but this is the first time the full design details have been captured in public. The second style in the collaboration now appears to be moving closer to a release.
The new Sylvester Air Jordan 4 draws inspiration from the classic Fire Red Air Jordan 4, but with notable twists. The upper remains white leather, accented with red and black details, yet the collaboration diverges in several key areas. Notably, the support wings are entirely red, diverging from the black-triangle motif seen on the original Fire Red, and the heel features a cream-toned, vintage-tinged look via pre-yellowing from the Bike Air branding. A small embroidered Swoosh near the toe adds a distinctive signature touch, consistent with Sylvester’s other Air Jordan 4 collaborations.
Sylvester’s Brick by Brick Air Jordan 4 first released in March 2025 and quickly became one of the year’s most coveted drops, thanks to immersive in-person activations and a thoughtful storytelling approach that gave the shoe a textured, brick-inspired aesthetic that fans adored. While the exact theme for the upcoming pair hasn’t been officially announced, expectations are high for a similarly strong reception.
The Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 4 Retro OG SP in Sail/Cinnabar is anticipated to debut this summer, with a target launch around May 9. Details beyond that remain to be confirmed. Retailers are expected to price the pair at around $225, with availability via Nike Snkrs and select Jordan Brand retailers. The style code for the forthcoming collaboration is IQ8055-100.
